Don’t Blow It In Bed

Ejaculating when your partner has yet to reach her orgasm is certainly not the best time.   Not for the man and certainly not for the woman.

It is estimated the 40% to 45% of men around the world ejaculate prematurely.  This is common among young men and teenagers.

Premature ejaculation happens most often among young men, especially teenagers just awakening to the pleasures of sex.  It happens when sexual orgasm is reached with minimal stimulation of the penis.  When this occurs during sexual intercourse, it can leave the woman shortchanged and dissatisfied.  Unless the man is one of the statistical few that can manage sustained erection with multiple orgasms in one night, coming quickly often causes the male to lose his erection.  That certainly is not good when the woman has yet to reach her orgasm.

It won’t help for the man to be anxious about it.  Worrying about how the woman sees him performing in bed creates a stressful mental state that can lead one to come quickly to get it over with.  It fosters a self-centered abandon where self-gratification becomes the end.  Masturbation does that effectively.  However it is not welcomed with a sex partner when gratification should be achieved mutually.

Habitual quick release masturbation can be disastrous when the man starts to have sexual encounters with a woman.  Masturbatory practices where the man comes quickly can be carried over into sexual intercourse.

As time pass the problem may go away, especially when the sensitivity of the penis diminishes with frequent masturbation.  There are pills and desensitizing creams and there are muscle exercises that can prolong the arousal state and delay orgasm.  The trick lies in being conscious of the moments just before orgasm and making an effort to stop ejaculation before it happens.  Practicing such control during masturbation can help in this direction.  There is nothing a man can do to stop ejaculation once it starts.  But often, consciously distracting the mind away from arousing thoughts just before orgasm while ceasing to stimulate the penis can stall the onset of orgasm.   It really helps to do this as often as possible with determined effort.

With a partner, temporarily withdrawing the penis and pinching the glans can help stop the process of ejaculation. He can resume intercourse after a few seconds. The man should be candid enough to explain his predicament.  Having a willing and sympathetic partner can ease the process and even create a relaxed atmosphere where ejaculation can arrive at the right time for the couple to attain a most satisfying sexual experience.

It’s comforting to note that premature ejaculation can be overcome.  It is important that the man first acknowledges he has a problem, learns about it and resolves to correct it.  With practice becoming a habit, coming quickly can be a thing of the past.
